Psalm 150:1-6 tells us to “Praise ye the LordPraise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praisehim with the timbrel and dance: praisehim with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Our primary goal each time we gather as a church is to come into the presence of the Lord. As the psalmist said in psalm 150 every musical instrument was created to glorify God. Fort his reason our praise and worship music is primarily contemporary Christian music with a hint of traditional hymns. As we praise Him with a thankful heart, our praise creates the right atmosphere where His manifest presence will come and we can enter into worship, that is in the spirit and in truth. We worship Him for who He is and we praise Him for his innumerable acts of kindness towards His people every day.
Elder, Kathy Spence is our current worship leader. She is accompanied by Tina Kerns, Sally Mahood, Dave Weaver, and Kevin Humphries . Her heart is set on entering into His presence where there is joy unspeakable, whereby the spirit within can be strengthened and renewed.
